Alter Ego

>

Some of the ladies from Birmingham Natural Beauties decided we should have an Alter Ego night. Whatever do you mean by Alter Ego? Well, these ladies decided we would wear Wigs and head to our local American Legion! I’ve never worn a wig, didn’t even know the drill and was just a little concerned how I was going to actually pull it off. My co-worker was nice enough to let me borrow a wig she had, so that was a win for me, because I really didn’t want to spend the money. It was cute, an actual short hairstyle which is what I was going for since I wear my hair long anyway. Now, here is where the drama ensued. Yall, if you could’ve been in my bathroom with me trying to fight to get that bish on my head! I can laugh now, but I had a little break down and ran to text my girl I was having trouble. To finally get the wig on, I did flat twist to my head and I had to pin them up in between the parts separating the twists. Then, I didn’t have a wig cap, so I had to ninja rig a stocking cap! And lo and behold, I finally got that bish to stay! Here are a few shots:

I put on a lil makeup

My $5 dress from Charlotte Russe (hella old, still had tag on it)

Another shot, & yes, there is Planking going on, post coming on that! LOL

So, that’s me and my wig! Now, other than it being a bish to get on, I actually liked it and half way contemplated going to buy my own, but it was hotter than a sumabish under that rug! LOL

Anyhoo, I mentioned we were at American Legion. Well, I don’t know about your local Legion, but ours, I go there for the non-pretentious peeps, good music, great drinks and even better food!

At window placing our order, (my girlfriend’s hand)

Wings, Whiting, White bread and fries!

Talk about good eating! I got my grub on! You heard me?! That was the highlight of my night! No, not true, but definitely a plus! The highlight was all of my friends getting together to do this!

This was part of the email my girlfriend sent: We had a blast! The wigs, the piping hot fried chicken, fried fish, french fries, drinks, strawberry birthday cake from Edgars (the best cake EVER), dancing, planking, picture taking, the musty boy on the dance floor…woo what a night! Luckily, no one woke up this morning with a tattoo on their face. Can’t promise it won’t happen next time though….

It was definitely a night that will go down in the history books!

Until I sign in again – Deuces!
