>Last week I was invited to a Natural Hair Meet-up right here in my city. I couldn’t believe it. We have a new co-worker in our office and she met several of my friends from the Urban League and I happened to be standing at her desk when an e-mail came through mentioning trying to get together for a Natural Hair Meet-up. Then by the time I made it back to my desk, my girlfriend had added me to the list as well. Remember I was having trouble with my air conditioner and had to put my car in the shop, but I told the hubs if it wasn’t ready I needed his, LOL and luckily, he was cool, but as luck would have it, I got the call my car was ready, so I could drive myself to the venue with no worries of that man being stuck at home! When I arrived to the venue, my co-worker was already there. She introduced me to the young ladies she had met and slowly others trickled in. In the end there were 31 ladies to show up. I’m sure that restaurant had never seen anything like it. We hung out in the bar area, exchanging hair compliments, regimens and contact info. It was great! I’m already looking forward to the next one!
