A year ago today I lost the first man I ever loved, my Daddy! I still think about and miss him daily. I cherish the memories of growing up – him running boys off, family vacations and our Sundays, going out to breakfast when I was in college. He was so funny, he should’ve gotten paid for those jokes! Daddy, may you continue to rest in heaven! Loving you always, Your favorite Daddy’s Girl!

Today was not as hard as I thought it would be, his birthday last week was hard! I did wake up in the wee hours of the morning and just got out of bed, went to get on the sofa and prayed. As luck with have it, I had a training class today and it’s not far from my Mama’s house, so I asked her to fix my fav meal prepared by her for lunch – salmon croquettes and rice. Spending time with her I think helped with today. And I do know Daddy’s in a truly better place!
