Tasty Tuesday – Braised Oxtails Jamaican Style

So, I’m late with making this dish, but hey, at least I did it and I wasn’t feeling my best. Happy Easter to my Husband! He likes Oxtails and I’ve tried to eat them, changed up the recipe and yeah, still no dice for me!

For this go round, I used a recipe Chef Roble’ shared and it was fairly simple, just a little time consuming to me with browning the meat and making the roux, but it smelled great. By the way, if you have any suggestions on getting the smell of Curry out of my house, please share! I’m begging you!

Oxtails browned, on to the Roux

 

Transfer Roux, Oxtails & top with fresh Thyme to Crockpot

 
 

It's Ready! (Cooked on Low 4 hours)

 

Remove Thyme and Serve with Rice!
