Tasty Tuesday – Christmas Edition

My contribution to Christmas Dinner – Dressing, Crawfish Cornbread, and Birthday Cake that had to leave this house, lol

Recipes below:

Dressing

1/2 pan of cornbread
1 bag of Pepperidge Farm Herb Seasoning
1 1/2 tub of Trinity Mix – celery, onion, bell pepper (from Publix, and chop it again)
3 or 4 cans of chicken broth – depending on how soupy/wet it gets
1 can of cream of chicken soup
3 1/2 teaspoons of Seasoning Salt
3 1/4 teaspoons of Black Pepper
1/2 teaspoon of Sage
Accent

Mix all together and bake 30 – 40 minutes.

Crawfish Cornbread

2 lbs bag of crawfish (thawed)
1lb. frozen shrimp
4 cups shredded cheese (mild cheddar)
2 sticks of butter
2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
6 eggs
2 pkg. Jiffy corn muffin mix
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
1 can of cream of celery soup
2 to 5 jalapeno peppers chopped
1 chopped bell pepper
1 bunch of green onions chopped
1 chopped onion

Melt buttter in large pot add onions, bell peppers, green onions, cream of mushroom and cream of celery soup, crawfish and shrimp and mix well.
Add corn muffin mix, salt, baking soda and eggs and mix well. Add cheese and peppers mix well. Add steak seasoning (or seasoning of choice), garlic powder and red pepper to taste. Mix well.

Spray 9 x 13 inch pan. Pour mixture into pan and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
