4th of July – The Proposal

>

This date has always been special to me, but now even holds a much more special place in my heart. Three years ago today, instead of going to Essence which was the norm for both my husband and I, he (we) opted to go to Vegas, since I had never been, it’s one of his favorite cities and it just happened to be during the time my sister and brother-in-law were there as well.

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, but this we couldn’t keep to ourselves. We scheduled a ride on the Gondola at The Venetian. The Gondolier provided the Italian history of whenever you go under a bridge, you should kiss. The bridges were coming up rather quickly. It was funny that a kiss was required, so often, but it became very romantic. During all of the kissing, the hubs reached in his pocket and pulled out a ring box and popped the question!! It was so beautiful. We will never forget it! Real live fireworks on the 4th of July! Vegas and The Venetian will always be special to us. Here are a few pics:

So, to say the least I was very surprised, caught totally off guard and cried! The Gondolier was surprised as well. He told us he could normally tell when a guy is going to do it, but my hubs was just smooth like that! He didn’t even tell my sister! We got such great pics because they were right there to witness the Proposal! I called my Mom and text my friends and forgot the time difference, so a few people were awakened! If I could do it over again, not that anything was wrong with the Proposal, I would definitely look cuter. I was mad because we ran late and I didn’t get an opportunity to change clothes for dinner or paint my nails! Did you peep my t-shirt? I had just moved back home, but ATL was still in my heart LOL. That’s the story of my proposal! I LOVED IT! Definitely unforgettable!

Until I sign in again – Deuces!
