>New restaurant in the city – Genghis Grill

>

Imagine my surprise when I checked my inbox and had this nice invite to check out the new restaurant that has been opening since March. Due to construction delays, the opening date kept getting moved back. I had a pretty busy weekend, but did try to squeeze in a visit on Sunday and there was a line down the sidewalk. Free will get anyone to come out. So, since I was dining with my girlfriend and her baby, we didn’t have the patience or the time for an hour wait, so I passed. I did finally go for lunch on yesterday and had to pay, but it wasn’t a biggie, especially since I spoke to the manager and he gave me a 20% off coupon for my next visit. The pic below shows the bowl I dished up:

I opted to build my own bowl with chicken and shrimp, cajun and lemon pepper seasonings, baby corn (fav), broccoli, zucchini and squash, mushrooms, pico de gallo and a sauce that for some reason I can’t remember, with fried rice. All in all, it was a good meal and I will be back soon. We had a similar restaurant here before, Fire & Ice, that is now defunct and I know ATL already has a couple of locations of this restaurant and it’s similar to Chow Baby.

All this talking about food has me a little hungry for lunch now. I’m not sure what’s on the menu just yet. I do know I will be cooking shrimp and grits for dinner. That will more than likely be my next post.

Until I sign in again – Deuces,

Mrs. AKAtude
